The musical language of the ADNISORRUTRA and SONHO ACORDADO is “isobematic”, isos
(equal) and bema (step) in a technique based a scale of semitones in which all steps are equal
and whose basic structure undergoes specific procedures for derivations, rearranging the
series to form a new theme form that, in spite of being new, retains a demonstrable link with
the base series, creating a heterogeneous diversity.
I have tried to make the musical discourse comprehensible taking into account the listener´s
understanding, surprising and soothing him at every turn, with a main theme and one or
more secondary theme, concomitantly, in order to give up the polyphonic “responsibility”
that counterpoint had in the possible reducibility of the materials to one generator series.
The rhythms are quantitative and harmony is composed harmonic fields derived from the
base material of the original series, with joints according to the interval sizes in the series,
with canons, proliferations, counterpoints, rotations, repetitions by augmentation,
retrogradation and transposition all techniques together in a texture in which I tried to make
coherent and consistent. |
