Inventário da escavação de 2003 na Rua de Nenhures: Relatório do Estágio Curricular de Arqueologia na Câmara Municipal de Palmela

Abstract

O presente relatório tem como objetivo apresentar o estágio curricular desenvolvido no Serviço de Arqueologia do Museu Municipal de Palmela, descrevendo de forma sistemática as atividades realizadas ao longo de seis meses. A estrutura do trabalho inicia-se com a contextualização institucional da entidade de acolhimento, seguindo-se uma síntese histórica dos principais sítios arqueológicos do concelho de Palmela. Posteriormente, procede-se à contextualização do sítio arqueológico da Rua de Nenhures, que assume particular relevância neste relatório, por ser a proveniência dos materiais arqueológicos objeto de inventário e análise. Seguidamente, é exposta a metodologia aplicada no processo de inventariação e no estudo das pastas cerâmicas. O relatório inclui ainda a descrição de outras atividades complementares ao trabalho de inventário, que contribuíram para o aprofundamento da formação adquirida durante o estágio. No total, foram inventariados 1647 fragmentos, incluindo bordos, fundos, asas e tampas, bem como analisadas as pastas de centenas de fragmentos. Por fim, os anexos reúnem documentação fotográfica das atividades desenvolvidas; Inventory of the 2003 Excavation on Rua de Nenhures: Report of the Curricular Internship in Archaeology at the Palmela Municipal Council - Abstract: This report aims to present the curricular internship carried out at the Archaeology Service of the Municipal Museum of Palmela, providing a systematic description of the activities undertaken over a six-month period. The structure of the work begins with an institutional overview of the host entity, followed by a historical synthesis of the main archaeological sites in the municipality of Palmela. Subsequently, the archaeological site of Rua de Nenhures is contextualized, as it holds particular relevance in this report due to being the provenance of the archaeological materials subject to inventory and analysis. The methodology applied to the inventory process and to the study of ceramic fabrics is then outlined. The report also includes the description of complementary activities beyond the inventory work, which contributed to the enhancement of the training acquired during the internship. In total, 1,647 fragments were inventoried, including rims, bases, handles, and lids, and the fabrics of hundreds of fragments were analyzed. Finally, the appendices include photographic documentation of the activities carried out during the internship
