| Abstract: | Taphonomy is constantly updated through the application
of new technologies and a growing corpus, and has therefore become indispensable to characterise sets of
archaeological fauna.
This article presents a brief contextualisation of this
subject area and focuses on the nutritional phase indicators
relating to the processing and consumption of archaeofauna remains. The author aims to contribute to the
dissemination of these indicators and methodologies,
demonstrating their relevance by means of prehistoric
case studies from Portugal. |
