gestão da variabilidade tendo em vista o aumento da produtividade; - Optimization of the management of an olive grove in hedge using
remote sensing images - a practical case -
Abstract:
Feeding a growing world is the role of agriculture. Sustainability is a condition for maintaining
agricultural activity and the world it sustains. Efficiency in the use of production factors is the
guideline for sustainability. As an example, the generalization of the characteristics of sampling
points analyzed in the course of this study, results in hectares that produce about 22.000 kg of
olives, and, in contrast, others that produce about 7.000 kg; as well as hectares whose olives
have an average fat yield of around 22% or just around 16%. Does it make sense to use the same
formula to treat this variability? In thisstudy the answer is no. It seeks to differentiate productive
zones, through the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), field work and statistical
analysis. It seeks to understand the causes behind this variability and proposes its management
with a view to increasing productivity. |
