que influenciam as variáveis meteorológicas em estudo; Low cost automatic system for the
measurement of cloud base height and
atmospheric visibility
Abstract:
In this dissertation two low cost systems which perform measurements of
meteorological variables are presented and analyzed. The first system presented measures the
cloud height, wind speed and direction through pictures from two digital cameras. The other
system presented here performs measurements of atmospheric visibility through natural
elements present in the field of view of a camera.
The system which performs cloud height measurements was installed in the Colégio Luís
António Verney at Universidade de Évora. The other system which performs measurements of
the atmospheric visibility was installed in two different locations: in Évora; and in Viana do
Alentejo.
The measurements performed by the two systems are presented along with an uncertainty
analysis.
Furthermore some events recorded by the systems that influence the meteorological
variables under study are presented and analyzed. |
