Intervenção psicomotora com crianças dos 0 aos 12 anos, numa instituição de acolhimento

Abstract

Os maus-tratos infantis incluem o abuso físico, emocional, sexual e/ou negligência que afete negativamente o desenvolvimento e o bem-estar da criança. Para além de afetar a saúde física, podem verificar-se consequências cognitivas e emocionais, através dos traumas e dos comportamentos manifestados. Assim, a Psicomotricidade pode contribuir através do desenvolvimento harmonioso, promover as competências fragilizadas e permitir que as crianças tenham prazer em (re)habitar o próprio corpo e nas ações executadas pelo mesmo. Tendo isto em consideração, pretende-se intervir com crianças dos 0 aos 12 anos para melhorar as competências, diminuir as suas fragilidades e, acima de tudo, contribuir para a saúde mental; Psychomotor intervention with children aged 0 to 12 years in a residential care institution - Abstrac: Child maltreatment includes physical, emotional, and sexual abuse and/or neglect that negatively impacts a child's development and well-being. In addition to affecting physical health, it can also lead to cognitive and emotional consequences, through trauma and manifested behaviors. Psychomotricity can contribute by fostering harmonious development, enhancing weakened skills, and enabling children to take pleasure in (re)inhabiting their own bodies and the actions they perform. The goal is to intervene with children aged 0 to 12 to improve their abilities, reduce their vulnerabilities, and, above all, support their mental health.
