Este estudo permite delinear bases para estudos e intervenções futuras; Psychological well-being and coping strategies in a pandemic situation - A study with university students
Abstract:
Due to the confinements caused by the COVID-19 pandemic there has been a change in lifestyles and well-being in the population and particularly in the youth. This study aims to understand the relationship between psychological well-being with stress, optimism and with lifestyle changes. It also aims to see what coping strategies students used and how these relate to well-being. A total of 209 higher education students participated in this study, these students answered a questionnaire consisting of a Stress Scale, a Psychological Well-Being Scale, a Coping Scale, and an Optimism Scale. The main results show that there is indeed a positive relationship between optimistic well-being and rational coping and that there is a negative relationship between well-being, stress, and emotional coping. This study allows outlining bases for future studies and interventions. |
