Bacia da Lagoa de Piratininga na região ocêanica: estudo de valorização ambiental da paisagem

Abstract

Ao longo da história da humanidade, o ser humano inevitavelmente tem vindo a ocupar espaços naturais proporcionando a sua transformação, tendo como objetivo a sobrevivência e busca por um maior bem-estar. Essa ocupação do espaço se sem planejamento e sem uma conscientização ambiental leva a um grande impacto sobre os elementos que integram o sistema natural e ainda, cumulativamente, o sistema cultural, que compõem a paisagem. De acordo com a Convenção Europeia da Paisagem, esta designa uma parte do território, tal como é apreendida pelas populações, cujo carácter resulta da ação e da interação de fatores naturais e/ou humanos. É à luz deste entendimento que nos focalizamos a estudar a paisagem com a preocupação com a preservação dos elementos naturais e culturais associados à Bacia da Lagoa de Piratininga, localizada na Região Oceânica no município de Niterói e estado do Rio de Janeiro. Simultaneamente integramos a percepção que as populações têm da Lagoa e seu entorno, procurando perceber como avaliam a sua importância e significado, bem como problemas ambientais que lhe estão associados, através da aplicação de um inquérito. A partir desses dados, a intenção é gerar diretrizes e alternativas para a intervenção naquela paisagem na perspectiva do planejamento, onde se valorizam as componentes naturais e culturais e se concebem várias ações ligadas à conscientização ambiental, incluindo o envolvimento das populações; ABSTRACT: Watershed of the Piratininga lagoon in the Ocean Region: study of environmental and landscape valorization Throughout human history, human beings have inevitably come to occupy natural spaces providing their transformation, with the objective of survival and the search for greater well-being. This occupation of space without planning and without environmental awareness leads to a great impact on the elements that make up the natural system and also, cumulatively, the cultural system, which make up the landscape. According to the European Landscape Convention, this designates a part of the territory, as perceived by the populations, whose character results from the action and interaction of natural and/or human factors. It is in the light of this understanding that we focus on studying the landscape with concern for the preservation of natural and cultural elements associated with the Lagoa de Piratininga Basin, located in the Oceanic Region in the municipality of Niterói and state of Rio de Janeiro. At the same time, we integrate the perception that the populations have of the Lagoon and its surroundings, trying to understand how they assess its importance and meaning, as well as the environmental problems associated with it. Based on these data, the intention is to generate guidelines and alternatives for intervention in that landscape from a planning perspective, where natural and cultural components are valued and various actions linked to environmental awareness are conceived, including the involvement of populations.
