Caracterização sócioeconómica do Parque Nacional de Cantanhez, Guiné-Bissau: contributo para um sistema de gestão ambiental

Abstract

As Áreas Protegidas são territórios delimitados e geridos com o objetivo de conservar os seus recuros naturais. Mantendo o mais intato possível, o seu património natural (elementos ecológicos, históricos, geológicos e culturais). Os Parques Nacionais são categorias de APs mais conhecidos pela comunidade científica e pelo grande público. As instituições que visam melhorar o desempenho das suas atividades, produtos, serviços,assim como as Áreas Protegidas têm ao seu dispor, referenciais normativos e voluntárias dos aspectos ambientais. Como instrumentos normativos de aplicação voluntária encontram-se a ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 14001:2004 e o EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme). Na presente dissertação pretende-se caraterizar socioeconomicamente o Parque Nacional de Cantanhez no sentido de explorar junto dos conservadores ambientais quais as suas motivações e benefícios bem como as principais dificuldades e constrangimentos verificados no que diz respeito à gestão dos recursos naturais do Parque Nacional de Cantanhez (PNC). Ainda estudar qual a melhor forma de conceber um sistema de gestão ambiental (SGA) ajustado às Áreas Protegidas. Após uma revisão da bibliografia existente sobre a matéria em questão, nomeadamente o Plano de Gestão do Parque Nacional de Cantanhez 2008 e 2016, do relatório do estudo Socioeconómico e Ambiental realizado em 2018 e ao envio de questionários a vários atores intervenientes em áreas ambientais na Guiné-Bissau. Keeping as intact as possible, its natural heritage (ecological, historical, geological and cultural elements). National Parks are categories of APs best known by the sci-entific community and the general public. Institutions that aim to improve the performance of their activities, products, services, as well as Protected Areas have at their disposal normative and voluntary environmental references. As normative instruments of voluntary application are the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 14001: 2004 and the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme). In the present dissertation it is intended to characterize the Cantanhez National Park socioec-onomically in order to explore with the environmental conservationists what their motivations and benefits are, as well as the main difficulties and constraints regarding the management of the natural resources of the Cantanhez National Park (PNC). Also study how best to design an environmental management system (SGA) adjusted to Protected Areas. After a review of the existing bibliography on the subject in question, namely the Management Plan of the Cantanhez National Park 2008 and 2016, the report of the Socio-economic and Environmental study carried out in 2018 and the sending of questionnaires to several actors involved in environmental areas in Guinea- -Bissau.
