Ilustração didática e pedagógica: das coisas nascem coisas

Abstract

A dissertação que se apresenta no mestrado “ilustração didática e pedagógica – «das coisas nascem coisas»” reporta-se à conceção de uma Maleta Pedagógica inclusiva sobre a reconstituição da Mala-Posta (em exposição permanente do Museu das Comunicações) a referida Maleta Pedagógica será destinada a pessoas normovisuais e com deficiência visual com faixa etária a partir dos 7 anos de idade. Tem também como finalidade, a sua utilização prática e aplicação nas atividades do serviço educativo da Instituição. Para a concretização desta investigação e posterior concretização do projeto, foi estabelecida uma parceria entre a mestranda e a Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações, instituição detentora do Museu acima referido. O principal objetivo do trabalho centrou-se em desenvolver um recurso educativo didático e apelativo, que contemplasse um conjunto de ferramentas técnicas, objetos criados e orientados para a compreensão e aprendizagem de conceitos de geometria, forma e construção, bem como para a transmissão de conhecimentos de carácter histórico e técnico através da ilustração e do Design. Conceitos que por sua vez, se articulam com atividades de diferentes tipos e que permitem uma abordagem lúdo-pedagógica ao tema Mala-Posta. Este novo recurso estabelecerá pontes de acessibilidade entre: o conjunto exposto, o público e a instituição, promovendo a interação entre pessoas que frequentem as atividades e os visitantes do museu de faixas etárias diferentes, sem fazer distinção da condição étnica, cultural, racial nem das capacidades cognitivas ou motoras. A função prática da Maleta pedagógica enquanto recurso auxiliar para a transmissão de saberes, ditou desde início os princípios para a realização do trabalho/projeto, quer na face de idealização e projeção quer na construção dos protótipos. O processo criativo inerente á criação da maleta teve como principais premissas o combate a infoexclusão através da Criatividade, da Ilustração e do Design, de forma a criar novas dinâmicas de aprendizagem, de comunicação, de participação e de acessibilidade a conteúdos do saber, promovendo as competências do utilizador através de uma educação informal; ABSTRACT: The following dissertation, from the master’s degree “didactic and pedagogic illustration – «from things born things»’’, reports to the conception of an inclusive pedagogic toolbox based on the reproduction of Post Rider Service (in permanent exhibition at the Museu das Comunicações). This pedagogic toolbox is designed for both sighted as visual impaired people aged from seven years old onwards. Also, as its goal, it is intended to serve a practical use and application on the activities of the institution’s educational service. For the achievement of this investigation and later realization of the project, was established a partnership between the master’s degree student and the Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações, owner of the Museum mentioned above. The main goal of this work centers on the development of a didactic and appealing educational resource, that would hold a set of technical tools and objects created and orientated for the understanding and learning on geometry, shape and construction concepts, as well to the transmission of historical and technical knowledge by mean of illustration and design, concepts which on the other hand, articulate with different kind of activities and that allow both a playful and pedagogic approach to the Post Rider Service subject. This new resource will establish accessibility bridges between: the set of pieces on exhibit, the public and the institution; and promoting the interaction between the people who attend the activities and the visitors of the museum of different age groups, without distinction of their ethnical, cultural or racial condition neither their cognitive or motor abilities. The practical function of the pedagogic toolbox as an aid for the transmission of knowledge, has dictated from the beginning the principles for the realization of this work/project, both during the ideation and project development phases as on the construction of prototypes. The creative process involved on creating the toolbox had as main premises the fight against info-exclusion by means of creativity, illustration and design, in order to create new dynamics on learning, communication and participation as well as on accessibility to content knowledge, thus promoting the users skills through an informal education.
