As traduções portuguesas do teatro de Heiner Muller. Razões de uma marginalidade dramatúrgica

Abstract

Estudo descritivo de tradução em torno da importação textual e cénica da dramaturgia de Heiner Müller em Portugal, a dissertação procura estabelecer formas de articulação entre normas e procedimentos de tradução, verificáveis no plano microtextual, e as envolvências sistémicas, de ordem histórica e sócio-cultural, num momento de vitalização da actividade teatral depois do corte histórico de 1974. Partindo da singularidade da dramaturgia de Müller e da marginalidade relativa da sua recepção em Portugal, a dissertação explora as instâncias de literariedade e de concretização cénica das reterritorializações realizadas desde os anos oitenta do século XX. Com base nos dados provenientes da contrastação das seis peças editadas com os respectivos textos-fonte, procura-se identificar características translatórias e verificar em que grau elas podem ter servido de influxo às mutações literário-dramáticas portuguesas, decorrentes desses anos de refundação teatral, nomeadamente as que são sugeridas pelo ciclo de escrita dramática autóctone, a partir do início da década de noventa. /*** Abstract - Translation descriptive study on the texts and scenic importe of Heiner Müller's theatre in Portugal, the essay tries to establish means to articulate translation norms and procedures, verifiable at micro-textual level, and the systematic environment, the social, cultural and historical features of a period of vitalization in the theatre activity after the historical cut of 1974. Starting with the originality of Müller's drama and the relativa marginal status of his reception in Portugal, the essay explores the concrete literary and scenic levels of the transfers made from the beginning of the 1980s on. Based on the data got from the contrast work of six published and their source texts, the work tries to identify the translation features and verify to what extent they can have served as influx to the Portuguesa literary and drama changes, due to those years of theatre foundation, mainly the ones that are suggested by the native cycle of drama writing, from the beginning of the 1990s on.
