Este ensaio pressupõe, finalmente, uma visão da vida humana essencialmente como devir; ABSTRACT:This essay’s main purpose is to approximate the notion of critical poetics, drawn specifically in Tempo e Poesia [Time and Poetry] published in 1974, to an original conception of Existence as Poetry. We shall consider this link is supported by the “metaphysical paradigm” that inhabits the author’s thought, his famous Heterodoxia. The author’s quest for authenticity yields the need for a Revolution – be it political (Portugal’s 1974 The Carnation Revolution), intellectual (to find an alternative to oppositional paradigms – in Portugal, in the 40’s, it was Catholicism/Marxism), poetic (language being the place where the revolution must start to take place), or, ontological. The need to consider ourselves mainly as Time and Poetry signifies, mainly, the ability to remove ourselves from any illusory privilege standpoint in order to ultimately consider ourselves as mainly poietic, as well as reach an understanding of the Other before the I. Finally, this essay presupposes human life as an ethical path to become. |
