Paisagem construída: proposta de ligação pedonal entre o centro histórico e o bairro da Malagueira. Transformação de um sítio num lugar

Abstract

“A realização da paisagem global, onde o espaço rural, por essência mais próximo da Natureza viva, se há de intercalar com espaço urbano por essência também mais artificial, sendo que ambos deverão integrar harmonicamente as infraestruturas indispensáveis ao desenvolvimento e bem estar da sociedade”. Pretende-se uma nova proposta que religue o carácter urbano, com base conceptual na “Paisagem Global” de Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles. Uma interação entre o espaço rural e o espaço urbano, entendido como um todo, uma paisagem que tire partido da qualidade de ambas e do seu planeamento em conjunto. A paisagem tem de ser entendida como um todo, para além de ser um espaço físico, biológico e estético é também reflexo de um território testemunho de um passado. A criação de um Continuum Naturale e Continuum Culturale de Caldeira Cabral, que consiste em equilibrar estruturas ecológicas consistentes com a rede urbana de infraestruturas e com os espaços dedicados à agricultura transformados num tema cultural. Propõe-se, assim a interacção de duas realidades que visa a desensificação de fragamento desprezado pela cidade que possui um significado ancestral através do tema das hortas. O projecto surge num local, fruto do desmembramento da cidade, lugar esquecido mas importante na sua relação de proximidade com a muralha e com uma das principais portas de entrada para a cidade actual. Este local entre muitos outros que abraçam a muralha, teria sido local de prática agrícola, onde ainda persistem alguns testemunhos dessa acção. Uma nora, vestígios de muros e caleiras que demarcam a presença de um padrão ortogonal. A comunidade servia-se dos espaços exteriores à muralha para cultivo e os postigos serviam como “portas traseiras da cozinha” para aceder a esses espaços. O lugar com características rurais, são reutilizadas e restabelecem-se novas regras em relação com o território, mantendo vivo o contacto do homem com a terra. A premissa estabelecida é a transformação deste lugar, marcado pelo parcelamento ajustado ao uso da prática agrícola já existente, num equipamento cultural que conceptualmente respeita esse padrão. A estrutura hidráulica que compartimenta esse espaço é elevado transformando-se em paredes que albergam todo o programa e estruturam todo o conjunto. Estes muros com uma estrutura parcelar definem a funcionalidade dos diferentes espaços e criam diversos momentos no percurso. Todo o conjunto de espaços relativos ao programa exposto são desenhados mediante este padrão estipulado pelo próprio sitio. As coberturas surgem então como espaços de prática hortícola. Apropriando-se de um novo solo. Este funciona como o quinto alçado de Le Corbusier, o terraço ajardinado seria um jardim de hortas destinadas a substituir os elementos vegetais na cobertura. As linhas de rega transformadas em paredes, albergam as infraestruturas técnicas do interior do edifício e são coroadas por caleiras que distribuem e alimentam as hortas e cultivos na cobertura. Outros elementos vegetais fazem o acerto entre a paisagem rural e a paisagem urbana. As árvores de frutos, a sombra do espaço, a luz e os tanques de água são elementos que pontuam os espaços e possibilitam a continuidade do percurso, num platô de diferentes aromas e tonalidades na cobertura. O jardim agrícola [espaço publico] altera-se conforme as mudanças sazonais e interage com a sua paisagem envolvente. Afirma uma naturalidade em confronto com a artificialidade. Assume a sua presença artificial de carácter abstracto, que respeita os valores culturais primários da horticultura, integrando-a num tempo actual e contemporâneo tornando este lugar numa PAISAGEM CONSTRUÍDA. Aqui o contacto do homem com a natureza nunca esteve tão próximo de uma realidade urbana. O desenvolvimento de uma cobertura hortícola possibilita a permanência da ambiência rural com o homem urbano. Aproxima o homem da cultura. Essa designação encontra-se no significado etimológico da própria palavra, CULTURA. ### ABSTRACT: “The realization of the global landscape, where the rural space closer to the essence of living on the urban space and also more artificial, both of which will harmoniously integrate the essential infrastructure to the development and welfare of society“. In this pratical and teoric project is intended a new global proposal that it will reconnect the urban character, with conceptual basis on the “Global Landscape” of Professor and Landscape Architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles. A well, traces of walls and gutters that mark the presence of an agricultural patchwork. In the Midle-age, the community was served outside of the wall spaces for cultivation and the shutters were used as “back doors kitchen“ to access these spaces. The place with rural characteristics, are reused and re-establish new rules are in relation with the territory, keeping alive the contact of man with the earth. The premise established is the transformation of this place, marked by the patchwork to use existing agricultural, practice in a cultural facility that conceptually respect that standard. The hydraulic that structure the plot is high and turning walls that will keep all the cultural program. These walls with a partial structure define the functionality of the different spaces and create different moments along the way. The entire set of spaces, for the above program are drawn upon this standard stipulated by the plot itself. The toppings then arise as spaces of horticultural practice. Appropriating a new floor. Other vgetation elements make settlement between the countryside and the urban landscape. The fruit trees, shade space, light and water tanks are elements that punctuate the spaces and allow the continuation of the route on a plateau of different atmospheres and shades. The roof now, like an Agricultural Garden [public space] changes according to seasonal and interacts with its surroundings. Asserts a naturalness in confrontation with artificiality. Assumes its artificial presence of abstract nature, which respects the cultural values of primary horticulture, integrating it into current and contemporary time making this place a BUILT LANDSCAPE. Here the contact between man and nature has never been so close to an urban reality. The development of a horticultural coverage promotes permanence of rural ambience to the urban man.
