Abstract: Saberes e Recursos do Meio no Enriquecimento do Processo Ensino- Aprendizagem: Salinas de Rio Maior Este estudo pretende contribuir para a valorização de ambientes não formais, enquanto promotores da qualidade do ensino das Ciências e da dinamização dos Recursos Naturais, em particular da região de Rio Maior. Neste contexto, a investigação abrangeu dois estudos complementares: no primeiro, tendo por instrumento o inquérito por questionário destinado a professores, procurou-se caracterizar a prática docente, referente à abordagem de assuntos do âmbito das Ciências Físico - Químicas sustentados em aspectos relacionados com o Património Regional; no segundo, também através de inquérito por questionário, avaliou-se o impacto de uma visita de estudo realizada às salinas de Rio Maior como forma de motivação dos alunos e como meio facilitador da assimilação de alguns conhecimentos abordados na disciplina. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que os Recursos Naturais de uma região são um reforço importante para o enriquecimento do processo ensino - aprendizagem e da disciplina de Física e Química, em particular. ; ### Abstract Knowledge and Resources from the Environment to Enrich the Teaching/learning Process: Salt Mines of Rio Maior The objective of this dissertation is to contribute to the enhancement of institutional which aim to, while promoting the quality of science teaching and the dynamization of natural resources, particularly the region of Rio Maior. In this context, the research covered two complementary studies: the first study, through a questionnaire applied to teachers, sought to determine the teaching practice in regard to addressing issues in the area of physical science through Regional Patrimony; the second, also performed through a questionnaire, sought to assess the impact of a study visit to the salt mines of Rio Maior as a form of motivation for the students and a facilitating medium for assimilating some knowledge. The results obtained show that the natural resources of a region are an important contribution to the enrichment of the teaching/learning process, namely in the subject of physics and chemistry.
