Abstract: Separation and removal of particles from a gas stream is a topic of relevance because of its impact in many natural and industrial systems. Numerical simulations were performed in order to study both the effect of acoustic field and the influence of the manner in which fibres are distributed in the porous material on particle deposition within the filter.
