Bravas: onde estão as mulheres no teatro?

Abstract

Em toda a história do teatro contada ao longo dos anos, detectamos a ênfase majoritária em nomes masculinos. As mulheres fizeram também parte desta história, todavia, onde as encontramos? Qual lugar de atuação dentro do Teatro foi reservado para nós? Certamente, a abordagem de temáticas relacionadas ao lugar ocupado pela mulher na esfera social é a chave para a abertura de espaços mais amplos de discussão. Momentos que nos permitam falar do nosso direito de atuação nos palcos e para além deles. Assim, através do estudo desenvolvido dentro do projeto de criação colaborativa “Bravas Mulheres”, objetivou-se permeabilizar a reflexão sobre os processos de invisibilização da mulher. Fazer parte deste projeto, transformou-se em si, portanto, em um ato político de resistência capaz de ultrapassar as barreiras da cena; - Brave women: Where are the women in the theater? Abstract: Throughout the recorded history of theatre, we have detected a predominant emphasis on male figures. Women are also an integral part of this history; however, where do we find them? What stage have we been reserved within the theatrical domain? Unquestionably, an approach to themes concerning the woman’s position in the social sphere is key to opening up broader spaces for discussion. These moments allow us to address our right to agency both on and beyond the stage. Thus, the study undertaken within the collaborative creation project, “Bravas Mulheres” (Brave Women), aimed to permeate the reflection on the processes of women’s invisibilisation. Participating in this project became, in itself, a political act of resistance capable of transcending the barriers of the scene."
