Empregabilidade, autoeficácia e satisfação com a vida em pessoas com dificuldades intelectuais e de desenvolvimento

Abstract

Este estudo tem como objetivo estudar o efeito da formação profissional na promoção de empregabilidade, expetativas de autoeficácia no papel de trabalhador e na satisfação com a vida. A amostra é composta por 28 indivíduos com dificuldades intelectuais e de desenvolvimento que frequentam formação profissional numa Instituição Privada de Solidariedade Social. Com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e 46 anos, que responderam a Escala de Satisfação com a vida, a Escala de Autoeficácia no Papel de Trabalhador e ao Inventário sobre Empregabilidade. Os resultados indicam que a formação profissional tem um impacto significativo na autoeficácia, na satisfação com a vida e em algumas dimensões da empregabilidade. O maior efeito da formação na autoeficácia de jovens com Deficiência Intelectual e de Desenvolvimento ocorre significativamente ao início e ao longo da formação. Já a satisfação com a vida as diferenças estaticamente significativas encontram-se no início da formação e no fim da formação; - Employability, self-efficacy, and life satisfaction in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities Abstract: This study aims to investigate the effect of vocational training on promoting employability, self-efficacy expectations in the worker role, and life satisfaction. The sample consists of 28 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities attending vocational training at a Private Social Solidarity Institution. Aged between 18 and 46 years, they completed the Satisfaction with Life Scale, the Self-Efficacy in the Worker Role Scale, and the Employability Inventory. The results indicate that vocational training has a significant impact on self-efficacy, life satisfaction, and some dimensions of employability. The greatest effect of training on the self-efficacy of young people with Intellectual and Development Deficiency occurs significantly at the beginning and throughout the training. Regarding life satisfaction, statistically significant differences are found at the beginning and end of the training.
