O Permanecer após a chegada: Conflitos e inquietações a respeito dos imigrantes em Portugal Tipo: Tese

Abstract

A temática das migrações envolve uma amplitude de aspetos, contextos e conceitos inerentes a própria complexidade do fenómeno migratório na atualidade, e exige igual complexidade metodológica para compreendê-lo. A presente obra buscou perceber, analisar e compreender os conflitos e inquietações gerados pela chegada e permanência de indivíduos em migração, e como e quais fatores de influência impactuam nesse processo de integração desses atores na sociedade portuguesa. Diversos aspetos históricos, socioculturais, políticoeconómicos e pessoais incidem influências que impactuam na receção desses atores. Requer a perceção dos variados fatores que permeiam todo processo, o qual evidencia-se como uma composição plural de múltiplas interconexões e influências recíprocas. Exige a compreensão conjunta dos diversos aspetos e fatores que precedem o partir, chegar, permanecer e retornar, etapas que formam o ciclo migratório. Além dos efeitos produzidos entre elas, recebem e incidem influências sobre a constituição e transformação do ser em estranho, conduzem a modificações identitárias que dificultam o reconhecimento do eu, por si mesmo e pelo outro, e como um outro igual ao eu, a impactar no reconhecimento de pertencimento ao espaço-tempo. Realizou-se, aliado ao arcabouço fornecido pela Sociologia Pragmática e o uso interdisciplinar de variadas metodologias, métodos e ferramentas, uma revisão sistemática sobre a evolução científica e a amplitude conceitual do fenómeno migratório, essenciais para a compreensão dos modelos utilizados no desenvolvimento teórico da obra; estudos de caso e coleta de dados etnográficos, netnográficos e estatísticos; Análise de Conteúdo e do Discurso; observaçõesparticipantes e entrevistas. O Processamento foi realizado com o software NVivo, com o objetivo de extrair as justificações dos atores sobre diversos aspetos do ato de migrar e interações com outros atores e espaços-tempo. Estes possibilitaram a compreensão dos múltiplos aspetos de influência interdependentes, que impactuam tanto no permanecer, quanto no próprio estudo das migrações. - The Staying After the Arrival: Conflicts and Concerns Regarding Immigrants in Portugal ABSTRACT: The theme of migration involves a wide range of aspects, contexts, and concepts inherent to the complexity of the migratory phenomenon nowadays, what requires an equally complex methodology to be understood. The present work sought to perceive, analyze, and understand the conflicts and concerns generated by the arrival and permanence of individuals in migration, as well as how and which influencing factors impact this process of integration of these actors in Portuguese society. Several historical, socio-cultural, political-economic and personal aspects have an impact on the reception of these actors. It requires the systemic perception of the various factors that permeate the whole process, which is evidenced as a systemic and autopoietic whole of multiple interconnected and reciprocally influent systems. It requires a joint understanding of the various aspects and factors that precede the leaving, arriving, staying, and returning stages that form the migratory cycle. In addition to the effects produced between them, they receive and affect influences on the constitution and transformation of the being into a stranger, leading to identity modifications that hinder the recognition of the self by oneself and by the other, and as an other equal to the self, influencing the recognition of belonging to the space-time. Allied to the framework provided by Pragmatic Sociology and the interdisciplinary use of various methodologies, methods and tools, a systematic review was carried out on the scientific evolution and conceptual breadth of the migratory phenomenon, essential to the understanding of the models used in the theoretical development of the work; case studies and data collection, ethnographic, netnographic and statistical; Content and Discourse Analysis; participant observations and interviews. The Processing was carried out with the NVivo software, with the objective of extracting the actors'justifications on various aspects of the act of migrating and interactions with other actors and space-time. These made it possible to understand the multiple aspects of interdependent influence, which impact both on the permanence and on the study of migrations itself.
