Abstract: | O presente relatório de estágio foi realizado no âmbito do estágio curricular do Mestrado Integrado em Medicina Veterinária da Universidade de Évora. O estágio teve a duração de cinco meses e foi realizado no Centro Veterinário Animal Vip – Beira Alta – Viseu.
Este relatório é constituído por duas partes. A primeira trata-se da análise casuística dos casos clínicos acompanhados no decorrer do estágio. A segunda parte consiste numa monografia com o tema “Entrópio em animais de companhia”. Esta é constituída por uma revisão bibliográfica do exame oftalmológico, de noções básicas relacionadas com as pálpebras (anatomia, histologia, funções…) e da epidemiologia, diagnóstico, terapêutica, prognóstico e prevenção de entrópio. Por fim, é apresentado um caso clínico de entrópio num gato.
O entrópio de desenvolvimento é a afeção palpebral mais comum em cães de raças puras, sendo mias raro em felídeos; - Abstract:
Small Animals Pathology and Clinic
This internship report was carried out within the scope of the curricular internship of the master´s degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Évora. The internship lasted five months and was held at Centro Veterinário Animal Vip – Beira Alta – Viseu.
This report consists of two parts. The first is the casuistry analysis, which consists of a statistical analysis of the clinical cases followed during the internship. The second part consists of a monograph with the theme “Entropion in companion animals”. This consists of a bibliographical review of the ophthalmological examination, of basic notions related to the eyelids (anatomy, histology, functions…) and of the epidemiology, diagnosis, therapy, prognostic, and prevention of entropion. Finally, a clinical case of entropion in a cat is presented.
Developmental entropion is the most common eyelid condition in purebred dogs, being rarer in cats. |
