Registo sobreagudo do saxofone: exercícios direcionados para o seu domínio progressivo

Abstract

Este relatório encontra-se dividido em duas partes principais, sendo que a primeira corresponde a uma exposição e análise das aulas assistidas durante a prática de ensino supervisionada, explorando-se também as características e contextualização da Escola Artística de Música do Conservatório Nacional, bem como dos alunos acompanhados durante a PES. A segunda parte do relatório descreve o processo de investigação e os seus resultados, com o objetivo de produzir um conjunto de exercícios/estudos direcionados para o domínio do registo sobreagudo do saxofone. Esta investigação partiu da realização do estado da arte, começando-se por uma explicação dos conceitos de harmónico e sobreagudo, quais as habilidades técnicas de que o saxofonista precisa para emitir estes sons e, posteriormente, propondo alguns exercícios de abordagem e execução de harmónicos/sobreagudos no saxofone, construídos seguindo um aumento gradual de dificuldade, de forma a serem aplicáveis a alunos do ensino vocacional de saxofone desde o ensino básico até ao ensino secundário, conforme as características individuais de cada aluno forem permitindo; - Altissimo register of the saxophone: exercises directioned towards its progressive mastery Abstract: This report is divided in two main parts, being that the first corresponds to an exposure and analysis of the classes that were watched during the supervised teaching practice, also exploring the characteristics and context of the Artistic Music School of the National Conservatory, as well as the students who were accompanied. The second part describes the investigation process and its results, with the main purpose of producing a set of exercises/etudes directioned towards the saxophone’s third register. This investigation started by doing the state of the art, beginning with an explanation of the concepts of overtone and altissimo, which technical abilities are demanded from the saxophonist to produce these sounds, and then proposing some exercises to approach and execute overtones/altissimo on the saxophone, elaborated following a progressive increase of difficulty, so as to be adaptable to students who attend the specialized music schools, from the basic cycle to the secondary cycle, depending, of course, on the individual characteristics of each student.
