ABSTRACT:
The growing investment in Technological and Health Sciences has allowed the creation of equipment and devices that assist in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of the critically ill pacient. It is imperative that the Nurse has not only the ability to handle these devices in the sense of their intended purpose, but also to prevent their complications. One of these is the emergence of Pressure Ulcers, whose risk is higher in Intensive Care Units.
This Internship Report reflects the path taken in the development of an In-Service Intervention Project, which aims to provide the Nursing team of an Intensive Care Unit a more updated knowledge for the prevention of Clinical Device-Related Pressure Ulcers.
This document also carries out a critical-reflective analysis of the development process of Master Nursing competences and of the common and specific competences of the Specialist in Medical-Surgical Nursing: The Critically Ill Pacient, in the context of internship. |
