Abstract: Starting from a feminist perspective my analyses is concerned with the way in which women video artists incorporate cultural female stereotypes into their video art. They employ a deconstructive and disruptive strategy, moving through multiple levels of irony and humour, for exposing the distortions and iniquities of stereotyped women representations that proliferate in all social arenas, from the print media, cinema, advertisement and television to the Internet.
