A tradução na área das ciências do desporto e da saúde: relatório de estágio realizado no Departamento de Desporto e Saúde da Universidade de Évora

Abstract

O presente relatório visa descrever o trabalho desenvolvido no estágio curricular realizado no Departamento de Desporto e Saúde da Universidade de Évora, no âmbito do mestrado em Línguas e Linguística: Tradução e Ciência da Linguagem com especialidade em tradução. O relatório será dividido em três partes. Numa primeira parte será apresentado o processo para dar início ao estágio, assim como uma descrição e contextualização do mesmo. Ainda nesta primeira parte será feita uma descrição dos fluxos de trabalho e das principais ferramentas utilizadas para realizar as traduções ao longo do estágio. Numa segunda parte serão abordados os serviços linguísticos prestados, ou seja, o processo que foi seguido no desenvolvimento das traduções. Com o enquadramento teórico, procura-se abordar e explicar os casos específicos que foram encontrados ao longo das traduções realizadas no decorrer deste estágio. A conclusão inclui uma avaliação do estágio e do trabalho desenvolvido assim como a importância que este estágio terá no futuro profissional do estagiário; Abstract: The translation in the field of sports and health sciences: an internship report at the Department of Sports and Health of the University of Évora. This report aims to describe the work developed during the curricular internship at the Department of Sports and Health of the University of Évora, within the scope of the Masters in Languages and Linguistics: Translation and Language Science with a specialty in translation. The report will be divided in three parts. In the first part the process of how the internship started will be presented as well as a description and contextualization of the internship. Also, in this first part there will be a description of the workflows and the main tools used to perform the translations throughout the internship. In a second part the language services provided will be addressed, i.e. the process that was followed in developing the translations. The theoretical framework seeks to address and explain the specific cases that were found throughout the translation process during this internship. The conclusion includes an evaluation of the internship and the work done as well as the importance that this internship will have in the professional future of the intern.
