Abstract: | The increasing demand for energy worldwide, and the fact that the pollution level is high, as led to the intensive use of renewable or “clean” energy. The renewable “clean” energies are seen as the way to solve all the problems related with the subject, but this is not true. Our work presents some problems related with the intensive use of some “clean” energies (hydroelectric and solar photovoltaic ) that are not referred in the plants proposals, and can bring complicated problems for the region where the plants are located. The problem of methane emissions related with hydraulic dams and its consequences in the warming of the planet is also considered. The final conclusion of the work is that there are currently no “clean energies” and we must bear this in mind in the choices of our everyday life. |
