A ecomuseologia em Portugal: experiências e perspectivas

Abstract

A preferência pela temática da ecomuseologia assim como o desconhecimento da realidade ecomuseológica nacional e, mais concretamente, a indiferença a que é vetada pelos organismos estatais competentes suscitaram a presente dissertação. A sua concretização pressupôs o conhecimento da realidade museológica nacional e a análise dos conceitos de “nova” museologia e ecomuseologia para o recenseamento dos ecomuseus que a integram. A análise da realidade ecomuseológica nacional baseou-se na construção do questionário e sua aplicação através de visitas in loco e respetivas entrevistas aos seus responsáveis, assim como na análise da legislação nacional sobre património cultural, património natural e museus. Para se compreender porque é que a tipologia de ecomuseu segundo o conceito evolutivo de George Henry Rivière não teve expressão em Portugal e a ecomuseologia salvo casos excecionais, não é o motor _do desenvolvimento sustentável das regiões ditas “deprimidas” procedeu-se ao estudo da renovação após o 25 de Abril de 1974 e a análise comparativa entre a legislação nacional sobre museus e a legislação da Região de Piemonte. A escolha deve-se ao facto de que nesta região italiana a ecomuseologia tem uma forte expressão e um desenvolvimento extraordinário que suscitou a criação de legislação específica. /ABSTRACT - The above dissertation was motivated by a predilection for the concept of ecomuseum as well as by the lack of understanding at national level and more particularly by the indifference expressed by the appropriate official bodies. This essays is coming into being presupposes an understanding of the reality museology at national level and an analysis of the concept of “new” museology and ecomuseums in order to provide a census of ecomuseums it embraces. An analysis of the state of ecomuseums at national level is based on the framework of a questionnaire and its application during on-site visits as well as interviews with the respective staff, together with a study of the pertinent legislation at national level To understand why it is that the notion of the ecomuseum, as conceived by George Henry Rivière hasn't found expression in Portugal and that the concept of ecomuseums, with few exceptions, has not become the sustainable force in the so called “deprived” areas lead to a study of developments in museology since April 25 1974 and to a comparative analysis of legislation at national level and legislation in the region of Piemonte. The choice of the latter is due to de fact that in this region of Italy, the concept of ecomuseum is a very real one and has flourished dramatically braying about specific legislation.
