Comparámos o padrão sazonal da resistência estomática em plena disponibilidade hídrica e em situação padrão; ABSTRACT: The holm oak, Quercus rotundifolia, is a sclerophyllous of Communitary interests. However, in climate change scenarios predicted for Portugal, may have its ecological optimum threatened, with increasing summer dryness. Generally is characterized as a xerophyte, but its water requirement and its minimum resistance are not yet defined. In this essay we sought to determine the water requirement of the holm oak, assuming that the species specificity is based on stomatal-cuticular and aerodynamic resistance. We believe that using the PENMAN-MONTEITH theory can bring an interesting contribution to address the montado water requirement, along with the TIV and stress index like the CWSI. We conclude that the holm oak is mesophyte and contrary to the hypothesis initially posed, and although sclerophyllous, has a higher potential evaporation than ET0, and in standard conditions its ETr is similar to ET0. Seasonal padrons of stomatic resistance with water availability and in standard situation were compared. |
