A importância do voluntariado na formação pessoal e social dos indivíduos: o caso do Banco Alimantar Contra a Fome de Évora

Abstract

Na sequência do Ano Europeu do Voluntariado considerou-se pertinente a realização da presente investigação que tem como objetivos conhecer o conjunto de aprendizagens promovidas pela ação do voluntariado no Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome de Évora junto dos indivíduos que aí participam e qual a representação que estes têm da importância das mesmas. O presente estudo organiza-se em sete capítulos, sendo que cinco evidenciam a abordagem teórica e dois a abordagem metodológica. Foram realizadas sete entrevistas semiestruturadas, duas a voluntários dirigentes e cinco aos não dirigentes/execução, procedendo-se, em seguida, à análise de conteúdo. Com base nas entrevistas obtiveram-se os seguintes resultados: (i) a instituição é um espaço propício ao desenvolvimento de aprendizagens não formais e informais; (ii) as aprendizagens individuais centram-se no aprender com o outro, conhecer melhor a instituição e a si próprio; (iii) os voluntários consideram as aprendizagens realizadas como sendo muito importantes para a sua formação integral; ABSTRACT: Following the European Year of Volunteering we considered appropriate to conduct the present research, that aims to determine the learning sets promoted by the action of volunteering at the Food Bank Against Hunger in Évora, with the participant individuals, in order to know what is the representation they have about the learning sets. The present study is divided into seven chapters; five of which shed light on the theoretic approach and two on the methodological approach. Seven semi-structured interviews were conducted: two were applied to leader volunteers and five to non-leaders/execution volunteers, proceeding then to content analysis. Based on the interviews, we achieved the following results: (i) the institution is a space conducive to the development of formal and informal learning, (ii) the individual learning focus on learning from each other, and also to learn more about the institution and itself, (iii) the volunteers consider the undertaken learning as very important to their integral formation.
