Vivências da família na entrada do/a filho/a para o 1º ano do ensino básico

Abstract

Com o objetivo de identificar as alterações verificadas na família aquando da transição de um/a filho/a para o 1º ano do 1º ciclo do ensino básico, procedeu-se à realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas a 18 pais/mães com idades compreendidas entre os 25 e 47 anos. As respostas dos/as participantes foram examinadas através do software informático NVivo10 e com recuso à técnica de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados do estudo mostraram que existem alterações no dia-a-dia da família relacionadas com a gestão dos trabalhos de casa e do tempo, recorrer a outras entidades e o/a filho/a tem menos tempo para brincar. Também se verificaram alterações na relação pais-filhos/as após a entrada de um/a filho/a para o 1º ano de escolaridade. Tendo em conta as alterações registadas, os resultados evidenciaram que algumas alterações na dinâmica da família causaram dificuldades aos pais/mães, sendo estas possíveis de ultrapassar através da utilização de algumas estratégias; Family experiences at the entrance of a son/daughter in the 1st year of primary school Abstract: Aiming to identify the changes in family during the transition of a son/daughter to the first year of basic education, we proceeded to conduct semi-structured interviews with 18 fathers/mothers aged 25 and 47 years. The answers of participants were analyzed through the software information system NVivo10, using contents analysis techniques. The outcome showed changes on the family daily life in which were related with household aspects, time managing, getting support from others and children have less time to play. Also there were changes in the parent-child relationship after the entry of a son/daughter in the 1st grade. Based on the tracked changes, the results also showed that some modifications that cause difficulties in the family dynamics are possible to overcome through the use of certain strategies.
