Abstract: | During the Peninsular War (1808-1814) many Spanish soldiers were taken prisoners and lead to France. Then, the traumatic experience of the episodes of war in Spain changed completely. Life in France was peacefully and quite normal for those elite prisoners, who began to made interesting networks between the intellectual groups who lived in France. That civilized way of living of the habitants of those two nations in war, France and Spain, had different locations and spaces related to the intellectual world which I consider were crucial for this pacific interchange. |
