Abstract: | We present the results of our theoretical consideration for the DW resistance and current-induced spin torque in a quasi-1D conducting wire with a thin DW. This model can describe low-density magnetic semiconductor structures. In a number of experimental studies the properties of a series of DWs was
investigated and envisaged for device fabrication such as the so-called racetrack memory. In a nano-scale
variant of these structures we considered the effects of the current-induced coupling between sharp domain walls. We show results indicating the existence of long-range oscillations of charge and spin densities accompanying scattering of electrons from the DWs. We calculated the coupling between the DWs which turned out to be an oscillating function of the distance between the walls. It also depends on
the angle between the planes of the magnetization variation in different DWs. Consequences of this coupling on the spatial and magnetic ordering of the DWs in the wire are discussed. |
