Abstract: There is currently a context of international reflection about the need to reinvent curricula and their training dynamics (e.g. Hoidn & Kärkkäinen, 2014; OECD, 2016; Stergiou, Airey & Riley, 2008). Initiatives that involve innovative educational dynamics and that are able to instil in students the human qualities are valued. These kind of dynamics is believed to allow students to develop a more critical sense about the social problems that really affect our society and, consequently, may have positive effects on the level of competitiveness of companies. In this context, this article aims to present the context in which the Tourism Degree of the University of Évora promoted a voluntary initiative to celebrate the World Tourism Day, in 2016 and 2021, under the theme Accessible Tourism.
