As eleições legislativas de 1925 no Alentejo

Abstract

Resumo: O presente estudo incide sobre as eleições legislativas de 1925 ocorridas nos seis círculos eleitorais do Alentejo. Aborda os tópicos referentes à contextualização política, à escolha dos candidatos a deputados, a campanha eleitoral, o clientelismo, os acordos e as fraudes eleitorais. Apresenta ainda uma revisão dos resultados eleitorais do Alentejo, demarcando-se dos números seguidos pela historiografia portuguesa. Abstract: This study focuses on the 1925 legislative elections that took place in the six electoral district of the Alentejo (Portugal). It addresses topics related to political contextualization, the choice of candidates for deputies, the electoral campaign, clientelism, electoral fraud and agreements. It also presents a review of the electoral results of the Alentejo, moving away from the numbers followed by Portuguese historiography.
