Cânone literário e cânone escolar: proposta de um corpus literário para o ensino primário em Angola

Abstract

A presente tese remete para a parte investigativa do programa de doutoramento em literatura da Universidade de Évora. Trata-se de um estudo sobre literatura que incide sobre a educação literária. A investigação centra-se no tratamento que a escola deve reservar à literatura, assim como nos critérios que estão na base da seleção dos textos e respetivos autores que integram as listas que são inseridas nos programas de língua portuguesa do subsistema do ensino primário em Angola. O estudo, essencialmente expositivo e conduzido sob a abordagem dos estudos literários, visa fazer o enquadramento da LIJ no sistema literário e definir novos critérios para a seleção de textos para o nível de ensino em estudo; propor uma lista de textos diversificada, tendo em conta as especificidades dos leitores e do país e a relação com o mundo; o estímulo do gosto e do prazer pela leitura literária, acentuando a dimensão lúdica e estética deste subsistema literário em detrimento da sua dimensão moral e didática. Atenção e destaque, ao longo do estudo, foram dadas à literatura para a infância e juventude, dada a faixa etária do público alvo. Eis, pois, o subsistema literário que preencherá o anunciado corpus. Essa seleção, a partir da produção literária angolana, teve a sua complementaridade em listas dos demais países da CPLP e na tradução de autores não lusófonos de reconhecido mérito a nível internacional. A constituição do corpus literário está na base de critérios que remetem para a presença de propriedades literárias no texto; ABSTRACT: Literary Education and School Literary Canon: proposal of a literary corpus for primary education in Angola This thesis refers to the research part of the PhD program in literature at the University of Évora. It is a study on literature focusing on literary education. The research quintessenceis the treatment that school should reserve for literature, as well as on the criteria underlying the selection of texts and authors that are part of the lists inserted in the Portuguese language contents of the primary education in Angola. This study is mainly theoretical and it’s conducted under the approach of literary studies. It aimsat framing the young children literature in the literary system and defining new criteria for the selection of texts for the level of education under study;Proposing a varied list of texts, taking into account the specificities of the readers, the country and relationship with the outsideworld;The stimulus for the drive and pleasure for literary reading, emphasizing the lively and aesthetic dimensionsof this literary production more than its moral and didactic dimensions. Throughout the study, attention and prominence were given to literature for children and youth, regarding the age group of the target audience. This is the literary subsystem that will fill the refered literary corpus. This selection, based on Angolan literary production, had its complementarity on literary corpus from other portuguese speaking countries and in the translation of non-portuguese-speaking authors of recognized merit at an international level. The selection of the literary list is based on criteria that refer to the presence of literary properties in the text.
