Abstract

Historical analysis of what was considered the stage of life known as "youth" within the Iberian Peninsula in the 16th-18th centuries, a topic with few studies in Spanish and Portuguese historiographies. The book addresses the issue of adulthood, juvenile disobedience and irreverence, education, training and work, trying to place those who had outgrown childhood in the context of their families, relatives and communities.
